Gijón Municipal Archives

Its collection includes 2,272 boxes of business documents including samples, photographs, plans, etc. Some important documents in the collection come from companies such as Astilleros del Cantábrico y Riera (Cantabrian and Riera Shipbuilders), Almacenes La Sirena (The Siren Department Store) and the Monasterio Business Group. It is located at the Clock Tower, a reconstruction of the medieval tower which served as City Hall and even prison before its demolition in 1911.
