The Company Shop of the Llaranes settlement was born practically at the same time as the rest of the services and facilities of the settlement. However, it was not until 1962 when it left the ground floor of the main square to be housed in its own headquarters, located between the two sections of the urban development project.
In its facilities, equipped with the most advanced technology of the time, labourer could purchase all kinds of foodstuff, textiles and footwear with great discounts. The building, associated with the modern movement, has three floors (including a basement) and was designed by Cárdenas y Goicoechea in 1956. The two commercial floors are connected by a central space crowned by a large vaulted ceiling made of glass blocks that form a skylight. There are murals of Luis Echanove related to the countryside and the sea on both sides. It has a warehouse, covered with saw-toothed roofs, and two canopies at the main entrance and in the rear dock for unloading goods.
